Aerosol Dispensers
Scope of Legislation:
The Aerosol Dispensers Directive (75/324/EC) shall apply to the dispensers which made of metal, glass or plastic; A non-reusable and maximum product fitted with a mechanical device containing a liquid, paste or powder, or a gas compressed under pressure, liquefied or dissolved under pressure, capable of expelling the contents in the form of foam, paste, powder or liquid phase, liquid particles in gas or solid 1000 ml for metal aerosol cans greater than 50 ml, 220 for shielded glass aerosol cans, 150 for unprotected glass aerosol cans, 150 ml for explosion-decomposable plastic aerosol cans and less than 220 ml for non-explosive plastic aerosol cans
Basic security requirements:
On the flammability and pressure hazard requirements, the person responsible for placing on the market of aerosol containers is responsible for analyzing the risks to determine those applicable to aerosol containers. Where appropriate, this analysis takes into account the risks associated with inhalation of the contents sprayed from the aerosol container under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, taking into account the physical and chemical properties of the contents, as well as the droplet size distribution. It then designs, manufactures and tests, taking into account its analysis, and, if possible, prepares specific statements regarding its use.

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:
The person responsible for placing on the market of aerosol containers affixes the reverse epsilon symbol "3" to aerosol containers as proof that the containers meet the requirements of the Aerosol Containers Directive (75/324/EC) and its annex. The conformity assessment procedure is carried out by the manufacturer's self- declaration .
