Scope of the Legislation:

Ethyl alcohol for general use: In containers of 1, 5, 10 and 20 liters for general purpose uses such as cleaning material, domestic fuel

Ethyl alcohol for medical use: In 5 liter volume matte black plastic containers with QR code

Ethyl alcohol of analytical purity for analysis: To be used as a laboratory chemical, in packages of maximum 250 liters and in which the chemical specifications and manufacturer or processor information are specified on the label

Methanol of analytical purity for analysis: To be used as a laboratory chemical, in packages of maximum 250 liters and in which the chemical specifications and manufacturer or processor information are specified on the label;

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

On label information; the name of the product, alcohol percentage amount in volume, net volume of packaging, origin information such as “agricultural” or “non-agricultural” on ethyl alcohol and form of denaturation applied, information defining use and conservation of the product, the trade name and address of the company who produced, processed, imported and packed, should be written. Before the placing of the product on the market, the labels should be approved by the Ministry during the acquisition of production and activity suitability certificate, pre-assessment certificate for importation or processing permission certificate. In case there are changes regarding the products whose labels have been approved, by getting permission from the Ministry, the needed corrections should be made on the label of the product and it must be guaranteed that the label reflects the true data about the product.
