Scope of the Legislation:

Spring water, drinking water and potable-use water.

Basic Security Requirements: 
Water intended for Human Consumption (spring water, drinking water) facilities and sales places must comply with all the issues determined by the By-law.
Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: 
Not available.

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation: Water intended for Human Consumption must meet the microbiological, chemical and physical quality criteria in Annex-1 a, b, c and d of the By-law. Spring and drinking water production facilities must meet the requirements of the By-law.

BY-LAW ON NATURAL MINERAL WATERS
Scope of the Legislation: 
This By-law; covers the qualifications, hydrogeological, physical, chemical, physico-chemical, microbiological and medical properties of natural mineral waters extracted from the territory of the Republic of Turkey, technical and hygienic conditions for units such as catchment, transmission, storage, filling place, approval, licensing, packaging, Labeling, sales and inspection of natural mineral waters, which are approved by the Authority extracted from the territory of third countries and allowed to be imported into our country, and the sale, inspection and labeling of waters approved as natural mineral water by the authorized institutions of the European Union member states.

Natural mineral water production facilities and sales places must comply with all the issues determined by the By-law.

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation: Natural mineral waters must meet the microbiological, chemical and physical quality criteria specified in Articles 6 and 7 of the By-law. Natural mineral water production facilities must meet the requirements of the By-law.
