General Information on the Comminique on Ecodesign Requirements for Household Dishwashers (2019/2022/EU) (SGM:2021/1)

Scope of the Legislation:

This Regulation establishes ecodesign requirements for the placing on the market or the putting into service of electric mains-operated household dishwashers, including built-in household dishwashers and electric mains-operated household dishwashers that can also be powered by batteries.

Basic Security Requirements:

In addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU), placing household dishwashers on the market and/or putting them into service to determine the relevant ecodesign requirements and the requirements for providing their additional product information.

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE Marking

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

1.   The conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 8 of Directive 2009/125/EC shall be the internal design control system set out in Annex IV to that Directive or the management system set out in Annex V to that Directive.

2.   For the purposes of the conformity assessment pursuant to Article 8 of Directive 2009/125/EC, the technical documentation shall contain the declared values of parameters listed in Annex II, points 2, 3 and 4, and the details and the results of the calculations undertaken in accordance with Annex III.

3.   Where the information included in the technical documentation for a particular model has been obtained:

(a)

from a model that has the same technical characteristics relevant for the technical information to be provided but is produced by a different manufacturer; or

 

(b)

by calculation on the basis of design or extrapolation from another model of the same or a different manufacturer, or both;

the technical documentation shall include the details of such calculation, the assessment undertaken by the manufacturer to verify the accuracy of the calculation and, where appropriate, the declaration of identity between the models of different manufacturers.

The technical documentation shall include a list of all equivalent models, including the model identifiers.

Scope of the Legislation:

This Regulation establishes ecodesign requirements for the placing on the market and putting into service of electronic displays, including televisions, monitors and digital signage displays.

Basic Security Requirements:

In addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU), placing electronic displays on the market and/or putting them into service to determine the relevant ecodesign requirements and the requirements for providing their additional product information.

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE Marking

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

1.   The conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 8 of Directive 2009/125/EC shall be the internal design control system set out in Annex IV to that Directive or the management system set out in Annex V to that Directive.

2.   For the purposes of conformity assessment pursuant to Article 8 of Directive 2009/125/EC, the technical documentation shall contain the reason why certain, if any, plastic parts are not marked as per the exemption set out in point D(2) of Annex II, and the details and results of the calculations set out in Annex III to this Regulation.

3.   Where the information included in the technical documentation for a particular model has been obtained:

(a)from a model that has the same technical characteristics relevant for the technical information to be provided but is produced by a different manufacturer, or

(b)by calculation on the basis of design or extrapolation from another model of the same or a different manufacturer, or both,

the technical documentation shall include the details of such calculation, the assessment undertaken by the manufacturer to verify the accuracy of the calculation and, where appropriate, the declaration of identity between the models of different manufacturers.

The technical documentation shall include a list of all equivalent models, including the model identifiers.

General Information on the Communiqué on Ecodesign Requirements for Refrigerating Appliances (2019/2019/EU) (SGM:2021/7)

 

Scope of the Legislation:

This Regulation establishes ecodesign requirements for the placing on the market of or the putting into service of electric mains-operated refrigerating appliances with a total volume of more than 10 litres and less than or equal to 1 500 litres.

Basic Security Requirements:

In addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU), placing refrigerating appliances on the market and/or putting them into service to determine the relevant ecodesign requirements and the requirements for providing their additional product information.

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE Marking

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

(1) Regulation on Environmentally Responsible Design of Energy-Related Products

The conformity assessment method specified in Article 10 is specified in Annex-IV of the aforementioned Regulation.

It is made according to the specified interior design control system or the management system specified in Annex-V.

(2) 10th of the Regulation on Environmentally Responsible Design of Energy-Related Products For the purpose of conformity assessment in accordance with Article 4 of Annex-II, the technical dossier is submitted. A copy of the product information given in accordance with includes details and results.

(3) In the technical file, for the technical information to be provided, for a particular model of cooling device, the same on a model with technical specifications but manufactured by a different supplier, the same or made on the basis of a design or external valuation method from another model of a different supplier. The calculation is obtained using either or both of the methods. Scope of the Legislation:

This Regulation establishes ecodesign requirements for the placing on the market or the putting into service of electric mains-operated refrigerating appliances with a direct sales function, including appliances sold for refrigeration of items other than foodstuffs.

Basic Security Requirements:

In addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU), placing refrigerating appliances with direct sales on the market and/or putting them into service to determine the relevant ecodesign requirements and the requirements for providing their additional product information.

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE Marking

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

(1) The conformity assessment method specified in Article 10 of the Regulation on Environmentally Friendly Design of Energy-Related Products is the interior design control system specified in Annex-IV of the said Regulation or the management system specified in Annex-V of the said Regulation.

(2) For the purpose of conformity assessment in accordance with Article 10 of the Regulation on Environmentally Friendly Design of Energy Related Products, the technical file, a copy of the product information given in accordance with Article 3 of Annex-II of this Communiqué and the details of the calculations specified in Annex-III and contains the results.

(3) When the information contained in the technical dossier for a particular model is obtained using any or both of the following methods, the technical dossier shall include the details of the calculation in question, the assessment made by the manufacturers to ensure the accuracy of the calculation and, where appropriate, the identification between the models from the different manufacturers. contains the statement. This Regulation establishes ecodesign requirements related to standby and off mode electric power consumption. This Regulation applies to electrical and electronic household and office equipment.

Basic Security Requirements:

In addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU), placing electrical and electronic household and office equipment on the market and/or putting them into service to determine the relevant ecodesign requirements and the requirements for providing their additional product information.

General Information on the Communiqué on Ecodesign Requirements for Light Sources and Separate Control Gears (2019/2020/EU) (SGM:2021/11)

Scope of the Legislation:

This legislation covers light sources and separate control gears. It also includes light sources and separate control gears placed on the market in a containing product. It shall not apply to light sources and separate control gears specified in points 1 and 2 of Annex III.

Basic Security Requirements :

In addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU), placing light sources and separate control equipment on the market and/or putting them into service to determine the relevant ecodesign requirements and the requirements for providing their additional product information.

the technical documentation shall include details of such calculations or extrapolations, the assessment carried out by the manufacturer to verify the accuracy of the calculations and, where appropriate, the declaration of identity between the models of different manufacturers.

The technical documentation shall include a list of all equivalent models, including the model identifiers.

4.   The technical documentation shall include the information in the order and as set out in Annex VI of Regulation (EU) 2019/2015. For market surveillance purposes, manufacturers, importers or authorised representatives may, without prejudice to Annex IV, point 3(f) of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products, refer to the technical documentation uploaded to the product database which contains the same information laid down in Regulation (EU) 2019/2015.

General Information on the Communiqué on Ecodesign Requirements for Welding Equipment (2019/1784/EU) (SGM:2021/17)

Scope of the Legislation:

This legislation covers welding equipment used in one or more of the manual metal arc welding, shielded metal arc welding, self shielded flux welding, flux cored arc welding, metal active gas and metal inert gas welding, tungsten inert gas welding, plasma arc cutting and ancillary processes.

It does not cover welding equipment used in submerged arc welding, limited duty arc welding, resistance welding, stud welding and auxiliary processes.

Basic Security Requirements:

The purpose of this legislation is determine the ecodesign requirements for placing on the market and/or putting into service of the welding equipment connected to the grid, in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Certain Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

Scope of the Legislation:

It covers simple set-top box signal converters.

Basic Security Requirements:

Ecodesign requirements in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

Conformity assessment procedures are determined by application communiqués and the manufacturer is given the right to choose between those specified in the "ANNEX-4 INTERIOR DESIGN CONTROL" and "MANAGEMENT SYSTEM REGARDING APPENDIX-5 CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT" of the Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products (CBK No: 5187). Provided that it is duly justified and proportional to the risk, conformity assessment procedures are selected among the relevant modules specified in the "CE" Marking Regulation.

General Information on the Communiqué on EcoDesign Requirements for Electric Motors and Variable Speed Drives (2019/1781/EU) (SGM: 2021/16)

 

Scope of the Legislation:

This legislation applies to the following products:

(a) induction electric motors without brushes, commutators, slip rings or electrical connections to the rotor, rated for operation on a 50 Hz, 60 Hz or 50/60 Hz sinusoidal voltage, that:

(i) have two, four, six or eight poles;

(ii) have a rated voltage UN above 50 V and up to and including 1 000 V;

(iii) have a rated power output PN from 0,12 kW up to and including 1 000 kW;

(iv) are rated on the basis of continuous duty operation; and

(v) are rated for direct on-line operation;

(b) variable speed drives with 3 phases input that:

(i) are rated for operating with one motor refered to in point (a), within the 0,12 kW-1 000 kW motor rated output range;

(ii) have a rated voltage above 100 V and up to and including 1 000 V AC;

(iii) have only one AC voltage output.

4.   Where the information included in the technical documentation for a particular model has been obtained:

(a) from a model that has the same technical characteristics relevant for the technical information to be provided but is produced by a different manufacturer; or

(b) by calculation on the basis of design or extrapolation from another model of the same or a different manufacturer, or both,

the technical documentation shall include the details of such calculation, the assessment undertaken by the manufacturer to verify the accuracy of the calculation and, where appropriate, the declaration of identity between the models of different manufacturers.

The technical documentation shall include a list of all equivalent models, including the model identifiers.

General Information on the Communiqué on Ecodesign Requirements for Household Tumble Dryers ((EC) 932/2012)

 

Scope of the Legislation:

The Communiqué covers household tumble dryers operating with mains energy and gas, and built-in household tumble dryers, including those sold for non-domestic use.

Basic Security Requirements:

Ecodesign requirements in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation:  CE

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

The conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products shall be the internal design control set out in Annex IV to that Regulation or the management system set out in Annex V to that Regulation.

For the purposes of conformity assessment pursuant to Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products, the technical documentation file shall contain the results of the calculation set out in Annex II.

Where the information included in the technical documentation for a particular household tumble drier model has been obtained by calculation on the basis of design or by extrapolation from other equivalent household tumble driers, or both, the technical documentation shall include details of such calculations or extrapolations, or both, and of tests undertaken by manufacturers to verify the accuracy of the calculations undertaken. In such cases, the technical documentation shall also include a list of all other equivalent household tumble drier models where the information included in the technical documentation was obtained in the same way.

General Information on the Communiqué on EcoDesign Requirements for Air Conditioners and Fans ((EC) 206/2012)

 

Scope of the Legislation:

The Communiqué covers air conditioners with a rated capacity of less than or equal to 12 kW for cooling or heating if the product does not have a cooling function, and fans with a fan power consumption equal to or less than 125W.

 

Basic Security Requirements:

Ecodesign requirements in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Scope of the Legislation:

The Communiqué covers mains powered vacuum cleaners, including hybrid vacuum cleaners.

Ecodesign requirements in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

The conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products shall be the internal design control system set out in Annex IV to that Regulation or the management system set out in Annex V to that Regulation.

For the purposes of conformity assessment pursuant to Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products, the technical documentation file shall contain a copy of the calculations set out in Annex II.

Where the information included in the technical documentation for a particular vacuum cleaner model has been obtained by calculation on the basis of an equivalent vacuum cleaner, the technical documentation shall include details of such calculations and of tests undertaken by manufacturers to verify the accuracy of the calculations undertaken. In such cases, the technical documentation shall also include a list of all other equivalent vacuum cleaner models where the information included in the technical documentation was obtained on the same basis.

Communique On  Ecodesign Requirements For Domestic Ovens, Hobs And Range Hoods (SGM-2015/7) ((EU) 66/2014)

Scope of the Legislation:

This Communiqué covers household ovens, domestic stoves and household electric aspirators, including those combined with a cooker, even if they are sold for non-domestic use.

Basic Security Requirements:

Ecodesign requirements in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: CE

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

The conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products shall be the internal design control system set out in Annex IV to that Regulation or the management system set out in Annex V to that Regulation.

Where the information included in the technical documentation for a model has been obtained by calculation on the basis of design, or extrapolation from other equivalent appliances, or both, the technical documentation shall include details of such calculations or extrapolations, or both, and of tests undertaken by manufacturers to verify the accuracy of the calculations undertaken. In such cases, the technical documentation shall also include a list of all other equivalent models where the information contained in the technical documentation was obtained on the same basis.

 

If the manufacturer or importer places on the market equivalent models, the manufacturer or importer shall include a list of all other equivalent models.

Communique on Ecodesign Requirements for External Power Sources (2019/1782/EU) (SGM:2020/5)

Scope of the Legislation:

This Communiqué covers external power supplies.

Basic Security Requirements:

Ecodesign requirements in addition to the basic safety requirements defined in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulation (2014/30/EU) and the Regulation on Electrical Equipment Designed for Specific Voltage Limits (2014/35/EU).

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

The conformity assessment procedure referred to in Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products shall be the internal design control system set out in Annex IV to that Regulation or the management system set out in Annex V to that Regulation.

For the purposes of conformity assessment pursuant to Article 10 of Regulation on Ecodesign of Energy Related Products, the technical documentation file shall contain a copy of the calculations set out in Annex II, point 2(c).

Where the information included in the technical documentation for a particular model has been obtained:

a) from a model that has the same technical characteristics relevant for the technical information to be provided but is produced by a different manufacturer; or

b) by calculation on the basis of design or extrapolation from another model of the same or a different manufacturer, or both;

the technical documentation shall include the details and the results of such calculation, the assessment undertaken by manufacturers to verify the accuracy of the calculation and, where appropriate, the declaration of identity between the models of different manufacturers.

 

The technical documentation shall include a list of all equivalent models, including the model identifiers.
