Scope of the Legislation:

Motor vehicles and their trailers and their parts, systems and seperate technical units, agricultural and forestry vehicles, two or three wheeled motor vehicles and four wheeled motorcycles

Basic Security Requirements:

Necessary security conditions for the placing on the market and putting into service the products that pose a risk to life and property safety in terms of the correct functioning of all new vehicles, systems, components and seperate technical units within the scope of the regulation

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

Manufacturers shall ensure that the vehicles, systems, components and separate technical units they manufacture and place on the market are manufactured and approved in accordance with the requirements set forth in the said Regulation. In this context, the product representing the product to be manufactured is submitted to the conformity assessment body (technical service) appointed by the Ministry. Technical services perform the necessary tests within the scope of the Regulation and submit the reports to the approval body. For the purpose of granting type-approval, the approval authority verifies compliance with the technical requirements of this Regulation through appropriate tests carried out by technical services and issues the type-approval certificate.

General Information regarding Legislation 2016/1628/AB on requirements relating to gaseous and particulate pollutant emission limits and type-approval for internal combustion engines for non-road mobile machinery

Scope of the Legislation: 

This Legislation applies to all engines falling within the categories set out in Article 5(1) which are installed in or are intended to be installed in non-road mobile machinery and, insofar as the emission limits for gaseous and particulate pollutants from those engines are concerned, to such non-road mobile machinery.

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation: Type Approval Marking affixed on the engine (set out in implementing legislation 2017/656/AB, Annex III)

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation: Arrangements with regard to conformity of production is set out in implementing legislation 2017/654/AB, Annex II.
