Scope of the Legislation:

Within the scope of Law No. 4733, there are tobacco products, macarons and leaf cigarette paper unit packages and groupings.

Basic Security Requirements:

Compliance with the plain and standard packages requirements determined in the relevant legislation and presence of a banderole on the products.

Conformity Mark Required by the Legislation:

These products must comply with the plain and standard packages requirements and have a bandrole.

Conformity Assessment Procedure Required by the Legislation:

First of all, it is controlled whether the tobacco product for which an application made for placing on the market complies with the plain and standard package regulations. It is ensured that the analyzes of the physical and chemical properties and the amount of release are made or performed in independent and accredited laboratories.Products that do not comply with technical regulations are not allowed. If the non-conformity of the products that are determined before as suitable and allowed is determined later, placing on the market of these products is prevented by applying administrative sanctions pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Law No. 4733 and the Law No. 7223.
